Finance Manager

A detail-oriented manager maintains and strengthens the company's internal controls. The finance manager will ensure the quality of financial transactions and reporting, develop financial well-being, and play a leading role in financial decision-making. This position will provide senior management with strategic financial input and oversee the overall accounting processes. Will ensure accuracy in all financial activities.

To ensure success this position will need to give management sound advice and manage accounting activities with the aim of visibly reducing costs.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and forecasting budgets.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Cash Management, and Revenue Recognition.
• Implementing finance and accounting policies and procedures.
• Determining the effect of potential business decisions on financial policy.
• Cooperating with business units and support functions across the company.
• Ensuring prompt and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate audit of financial statements with external auditors. 
• Reporting variances.
• Ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.
