IT Security Officer

Job Summary:
The IT Security Officer oversees the organization's security architecture to ensure alignment with industry standards. This function is at the forefront of ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's digital assets and is responsible to develop policies and procedures, analyze and optimize security infrastructure, and actively monitor for potential threats. The IT Security Officer is at the forefront to collaborate with teams, to mitigate risks and provide regular updates on securityincidents. The IT Security Officer reports directly to the Senior Risk Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Defines and manages the organization's security architecture, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
• Develops a comprehensive understanding of the connection between information security and business functions, ensuring that security measures align with organizational objectives and priorities.
• Stays updated on emerging security threats, technologies and trends, and recommends proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Develops and maintains operational technical policies standards, configurations and procedures related to security, identity, and access management. Ensure compliance wilh relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Analyzes designs; tests, and supports implementation of the IT security infrastructure to enhance performance and capacity.
• Oversees the security of applications, networks, servers, storage including but not limited to directory services, identity connectors, authentication mechanisms web single sign-on and application servers.
• Collaborates with cross functional teams to identify security risks and recommends effective mitigation strategies.
• Monitors security systems networks for potent al threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches, and take appropriate action to address issues promptly.
• Utilizes a "helicopter view" to assess the organization on security landscape, coupled with strong analytical skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
• Provides regular reports and updates to Management on security incidents, compliance status, and overall security posture.
• Lead incident response efforts in the event of security breaches or incidents. Investigate and recommend appropriate remediat on measures.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address security concerns and implement security measures. Communicate effectively with stakeholders about security risk incidents, and mitigation strategies.
